Do I Need to Have Drawing Experience?

Absolutely not! We welcome all skill levels and simply want you to experience Arlington in a new way.

We’re celebrating National Walking Day by kicking our regular social walk up a notch and partnering with Arlington Transportation Partners and Heavy Seas Alehouse to bring you an evening walk and happy hour. You’ll get to know your neighbors, experience the sights of Rosslyn by foot, and enjoy all the benefits of an evening stroll.

The walk will end with a happy hour at Heavy Seas Alehouse, who is providing complimentary appetizers and happy hour specials.

The walk will begin at 6:30 at Heavy Seas and last until 7:00. The happy hour at Heavy Seas is open to all from 6:00 to 9:00, even if you can’t make it for the walk. Walk on by!

Opening Day for Trails Cleanup on the W&OD @ Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center
Apr 13 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Celebrate Opening Day for Trails by joining WalkArlington, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Capital Trails Coalition, NOVA Parks, and Arlington County Parks & Recreation on Saturday, April 13, on one of our favorite trails—the Washington & Old Dominion Trail (W&OD Trail)—in Arlington Virginia, to clean up litter and debris.

The cleanup will start on the W&OD Trail across from Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center, and we’ll work our way approximately half a mile up the trail toward Columbia Pike. We’ll focus on picking up the litter and trash that gathers in the vegetation near the side of the trail. Refreshments, water, and some fun giveaways will be provided as a thank-you to all who come out for the cleanup.

Spread the word and invite your friends to celebrate Opening Day for Trails using #RTCOpeningDay on social media!

WalkArlington is excited to partner with the Rails to Trails ConservancyCapital Trails CoalitionWashington Area Bicyclist AssociationNOVA Parks, and Arlington County Department of Parks & Recreation to make this trail cleanup happen.
