VDOT Seeks Comments on Draft Bike/Ped Policy
Now available for public review on the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) website is a draft comprehensive policy to improve conditions for pedestrians and bicyclists on future highway construction and retrofit projects. Assembled by a broadly-constituted Stakeholder Working Group, the draft policy aims to achieve a "safe, effective, and balanced multi-modal transportation system" through improved planning, funding, design, construction, operation and maintenance of Virginia's transportation network.
