    Three pedestrians were killed or critically injured by vehicles in three separate incidents within an hour of one another across the D.C. region Saturday morning, police said. In two of the cases, police said, the drivers did not stop.

  • Chain Bridge will be closed March 12-15
    The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is advising motorists that it plans to completely close the Chain Bridge on the weekend of March 12-15 for reconstruction work on the bridge deck, approaches and structural steel beams.
     
  • Storm assessment: Sidewalks were biggest problem in D.C.
    City workers did a good job clearing the streets after the recent snowstorms, D.C. officials said, but residents and business owners not doing their part to clear the sidewalks was a problem.
