Safe Streets

Hey PAL! We’re building a community-driven movement to make Arlington County’s streets safer for all users. We need your help encouraging people walking, biking, and driving to share the streets and celebrate Arlington’s active transportation culture.

Being a PAL means being:

  • Predictable – travel in a predictable way; don’t make sudden unexpected moves
  • Alert – pay attention to your surroundings and to others
  • Lawful – obey traffic laws, whether in a car, on a bike or on foot

The easiest way to get involved is to volunteer with WalkArlington. You can help at outreach events like National Walking Day or the Arlington County Fair, during walks to go get tacos, or at pop-up events giving away lights and reflective gear. Get started by signing up.
