Opening Day for Trails Cleanup on the W&OD @ Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center
Apr 13 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Celebrate Opening Day for Trails by joining WalkArlington, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, Capital Trails Coalition, WABA, NOVA Parks, and Arlington County Parks & Recreation on Saturday, April 13, on one of our favorite trails—the Washington & Old Dominion Trail (W&OD Trail)—in Arlington Virginia, to clean up litter and debris.

The cleanup will start on the W&OD Trail across from Barcroft Sports & Fitness Center, and we’ll work our way approximately half a mile up the trail toward Columbia Pike. We’ll focus on picking up the litter and trash that gathers in the vegetation near the side of the trail. Refreshments, water, and some fun giveaways will be provided as a thank-you to all who come out for the cleanup.

Spread the word and invite your friends to celebrate Opening Day for Trails using #RTCOpeningDay on social media!

WalkArlington is excited to partner with the Rails to Trails ConservancyCapital Trails CoalitionWashington Area Bicyclist AssociationNOVA Parks, and Arlington County Department of Parks & Recreation to make this trail cleanup happen.

This event is free, but registration is required. This event will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will reschedule to April 20.
