Arlington Brings Home a Platinum Walk Friendly Community Designation


The University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center has named Arlington County a Platinum Walk Friendly Community. The County is one of only 5 communities across the country to have received a Platinum rating.

America’s Most Walkable Suburb

Arlington is proud to be one of nine communities profiled and featured in America Walks and the Every Body Walk! Collaborative’s book, America’s Walking Renaissance. America’s Walking Renaissance examines how communities across the US are embracing walking and becoming more walkable. An entire chapter of the book is dedicated to Arlington County’s success, calling Arlington one of “America’s Most Walkable Suburb.” Read more.
