Take a test ride at the Arlington County Fair! BikeArlington will have a variety of innovative personal vehicles for you to try, including e-bikes, cargo bikes, e-scooters, Capital Bikeshare, and more. Our staff will be onsite to provide a comfortable, guided experience for your test ride, and to answer any questions you have.
Plus, we have a special traffic garden area just for kids (strider bikes provided) with lots to explore. Head to the tennis courts to take these bikes for a spin.
If you bike to the Fair, we’ve got you covered with FREE bike valet parking, on the tennis courts.
Join WalkArlington and the NOVA Running Club for a 2-mile walk at Bluemont Park, following the 5k run. This is a great low-key weeknight event where you can get your walk in and have fun at the same time. Meet up with other WalkArlington walkers and enjoy the camaraderie of an in-person group walk.
Online registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on August 30, 2021. The cost is $25 for runners and $10 for walkers. Race day registration also available.
Join us for a spooky Halloween walk! We’ll go out after dark to check out Jackson Street in Ashton Heights, Arlington’s most famous street for Halloween decorating, and a few other nearby gems. Let’s get in our steps and have fun! We’ll meet at Clarendon Metro and end at Northside Social coffee shop and wine bar for some optional social time.
Cook along with Dietitian Charmaine Jones of Food Jonezi as she prepares a 30-minute nutritious dinner, a chicken fajita bowl, with lighter ingredients. Charmaine is a firm believer that you don’t have to sacrifice the foods you love in order to eat healthier. She’ll show us some tricks and tips and answer your questions. We’ll send participants the recipe in advance so you can have your ingredients ready for the class.
Join us for our annual Balaclavas and Baklava winter event where we get ready for cold-weather activities by making our own fleece ear warmers, neck gaiters, and balaclavas. NEW this year: A virtual craft night and a chance to show off your gear at a walk or a bike ride.
